As the hues of autumn painting the meadow in a soft muted gold caught my eye as I was traveling high in the Rocky Mountains. Across the meadow, a lovely stand of aspen trees stood as if painted by an artist's brush, framed by the contrasting backdrop of dark pines. The interplay of light and shadow, added depth and dimension to the already stunning scene. Then I noticed a muted fencing across and a rancher’s tractor on the side to add just a bit of the human touch. Couldn’t resist this composition, and as the light was changing quickly I composed this shot and captured one of my favorite photos from the trip.
